Just wanted to say a HUGE shoutout to those of you who helped to make my birthday celebration amazing!   You guys are wonderful and I love you so much!   Oliga, Nat, Rach, Erin, and Amanda...I had no idea!   Still blows my mind that I couldn't figure it out!  lol   Thanks for thinking of me.   Mist...thanks for the incredible cake over which Jay and Matt gave me a birthday song and dance.  (You two are crazy, but I love working with ya!)  Annie and Em, I know that your schedules were busy, but thanks for stopping by!   I love you two way too much!   :)   Lynne and Danny, thanks for coming by even though you had been in meetings all day long...my birthday wouldn't have been complete without you there.  Em, I was so glad to see you for 45 minutes...lol.  Seriously though, I was so glad that we got to see each other for a little while, longer than I thought we would, and I am looking forward to lunch to catch up!  Love you soooooooooo much!   :)   Lindsey, Ashleigh, Sneaky, Jeremy,Jimmy, Charley, Emmers,Shanna, Emily, Brett, and everyone else who came to show some birthday love, thanks.  I am blessed to have you all in my life.  :)   And for those of you who I didn't see but who sent cards and gave phone calls, you are all very dear to my heart as well.   Love you guys more than I could ever make you understand.   Thanks for being my friends!   :)

I am discovering more and more every day what a complete and hopeless mess I am.  Praise God for His mercy!

So I didn't end up crossing something off of my list today like I had planned , but I did end up doing something equally as stretching for me .    I had the usual morning...devos, workout, campus serve...but this evening I cut a rug at Grace Evangelical Free Church .  The church was holding a Swing Dancing night in order to raise money for their missions fund.  My friend Misty and I went, fearlessly embarking upon the evening without any men by our sides. Thankfully, I ended up meeting this amazing man who swept me off my feet both literally and figuratively.  It was similar to what you see in the movies...our eyes met from across the dance floor (not hard in my case) and he slowly approached me and asked me to dance.   He was an incredible leader and made me feel completely at ease...he even helped me to laugh when I accidently backed into the table with the drinks on it and spilled water all over myself and the floor.  He is pretty much amazing.   Ok, so that was all a bald faced lie.    There was no man.  In fact, I probably danced with about 13 random stangers (a few of them around age 13 or younger and 48 or older) since we kept switching partners in order to learn the dance. However, despite the random children and married men, the evening was fun...and even Liberty approved!    That's right ladies and gentlemen...we are on the fast track to a very hot place!     Just kidding.  But for real it was an enjoyable evening despite my extreme lack of rythmic ability.  Misty says I just need a strong male lead.  All I know is he is going to have to be very strong to get this girl to the point where she looks good on the dance floor!     Until then I am content to make a complete fool out of myself  and have some fun!

have you ever had one of those weeks where everywhere you turn God is continually trying to teach you something?   where you try to run because you are afraid and yet He keeps driving the point home?  where you are overwhelmed by His presence and in awe of the fact that He loves you enough to want to grow you more into His likeness?  yeah, it has been one of those weeks.   wouldn't trade it for the world.

P.S.  if you have never run (or taken a walk) outside on a clear night when the stars are out I highly suggest it.  you won't be disappointed.

I love apple cider.   Cold or hot...makes no real difference.  Perfect weather for it.  All that's missing is a hayride on a starry night...
